True love conquers all, especially in a battle of TV’s most-watched couples. After four long weeks of pitting Wetpaint Entertainment's favorite small screen pairs against each other for the title of Hottest Couple on TV, we finally have our winners. It’s our Valentine’s Day gift to y’all!
In the end, it all came down to two will-they, won’t-they couples: Castle’s Richard Castle and Kate Beckett (a.k.a. “Caskett”) and The Vampire Diaries’ Damon Salvatore and Elena Gilbert (a.k.a. “Delena”) So, which sexy twosome took home our top honors? With more than half a million votes cast, the winning pair is....

Damon (Ian Somerhalder) has always had a soft spot for Elena (Nina Dobrev), but her first impression of him wasn’t quite as glowing. By the time she came to realize there was a lot more to him than she thought, her feelings for him were overshadowed by her relationship with his brother, Stefan (Paul Wesley). Now that Stefan has become the crazy, unpredictable brother, Delena’s window of opportunity is finally open.
As fiercely loyal as Caskett fans are, they just couldn’t defeat all the Delena lovers out there. The vampire and doppelganger won by over 94,000 votes. Wow.
So, what is it about these two that captured so many hearts? We’re guessing it has a little something to do with the fact that their sizzlin’ chemistry isn’t just for show. Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev’s real-life passion practically burns through our TV screens. It’s nothing short of swoon-worthy!
