Oh happy day! Our favorite baber on the Teen Mom 2 block is making strides — literally!
Leah Messer's daughter, Ali Simms, has struggled with health problems since infancy, one of which is her inability to walk on her own.
"Doctors said that Aleeah had been resting on top of Ali in the womb, which led to some developmental disabilities," explains a source close to the family. "But Ali proved to be a fighter."
Poor Ali had to be fitted with leg splints this season on Teen Mom 2, but it looks like she's been on a winning streak ever since — she even stood up all on her own!
"Leah literally started crying when she saw Ali standing on her own for the first time," says the source. "It was an overwhelming experience that made her so happy and proud."
As those who watch Teen Mom 2 know (read: everybody, duh!), Leah has often worried that Ali would never catch up to her sister.
"Leah's daughters are everything to her, so to see Ali struggle was heartbreaking for her," adds the source. "At times, Leah was terrified that she would never walk."
Sigh, we're tearing up just thinking about it! Baby Ali for the win!
